Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of TandemTab (the "Service"), a personal budgeting app operated by TandemTab Company, Sofia, Bulgaria. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service does

TandemTab helps you record and organise your personal and shared finances — accounts, budgets, expenses and savings. You can also import transactions yourself from a bank statement file you export from your bank. The Service is an information and budgeting tool only; it does not provide banking, payment or money-transfer functions. Your data is stored in the EU and encrypted at rest with managed keys.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, and for the accuracy and lawfulness of any data you import into the Service.

3. Importing statements

You can import a statement file (CSV, Excel, OFX, QIF or XML) that you export from your bank. The app reads the transactions to prepare draft entries; nothing becomes a budgeting entry until you review and confirm it. What you import — and whether you import anything — is entirely your choice. TandemTab never initiates payments or moves funds.

4. Shared accounts

You may invite other people to an account you own; they become members who can view and edit that account. A shared account may contain another person's financial information, so only invite people you trust, keep its contents confidential, and enable two-factor authentication. As owner you can remove a member, transfer ownership, or leave the account at any time.

5. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information and use the Service lawfully.
• Keep your login credentials secure, and enable two-factor authentication for extra protection.
• Review imported transactions before turning them into budgeting entries — you decide what is recorded.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.

6. Pro plan, trial and payments

• Free stays free. The free plan needs no payment details. Pro is an optional paid plan, at the price shown in the app when you subscribe (currently €39.99 a year or €4.99 a month). The price shown is the price you pay.
• Free trial. Your first Pro subscription starts with a 30-day free trial. You enter a payment card at checkout, but nothing is charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before it ends, the first payment is taken when the trial ends. One trial per person.
• Renewal. Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period (every year or every month) until you cancel. We will tell you before any price change applies to you.
• Cancelling. Cancel any time in the app under Your plan → Manage billing. Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for (or the end of the trial) and does not renew; nothing further is charged.
• Your 14-day right of withdrawal. As a consumer in the EU you may withdraw from the Pro contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason. During the free trial you do this simply by cancelling — nothing will have been charged. If a payment was taken at checkout (for example because you have had a trial before), write to admin@tandemtab.com within 14 days of that payment and we will refund it in full.
• Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number. See the Privacy Policy.
• If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it. If it cannot be collected, Pro ends and your account returns to the free plan; your data is kept.

7. Not financial advice

TandemTab presents your own data and simple, automatically generated insights. It does not constitute financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Decisions you make based on the Service are your own responsibility.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TandemTab and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your accounts at any time. Deleted or abandoned accounts are archived and permanently removed after 30 days. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
